Most of us drive an average of 2-3 hours a day. Many different emergency situations can arise while
driving your car. That is why it is important to have a car emergency kit in your trunk.

Items to have in your kit:

  • Jumper Cables

  • High Energy Snacks
  • Small Tool Set
  • Extra Blankets and Warm Clothing
  • Gloves

Preparing to take a long trip in your car:

Bring some high energy snacks and a couple bottles of water.

Look at the weather forecasts before you leave and plan accordingly. If it is going to be cold dress
warmly and have some extra blankets in your car emergency kit.

If it’s going to be hot, have some more bottles of water with you to help you keep hydrated.

Avoid driving during severe weather, winter storms, or blizzards. Roads can become very icy and
dangerous and your car can easily become stuck.
